What I focus on in working with horses and riders is the coordination oft he aids. In order to balance the horse it must build confidence to the rider and follow the respective diagonal aids, which means to be responsive to the rider´s inside leg and outside rein.
I want to help the rider developing the skills to be able to control the horses´ forehand and to let him initiate an arched back and engage the hindlegs. The rider should give his aids sensitively but clear, he must step up the demands but never overstrain the horse.
I want to keep up the motivation constantly, I want the horse and the rider to be attentive but supple. I give an eye to the fluency and harmony in every sequence of dressage movements.
That includes giving an eye to the riders´ seat, his mobility and inner view. Exercises, specially developed for riders by Eckart Meyners, will give you a new feeling for your horse and let you perform much better in the saddle.
